Hunters’ Harvest is a group of people that utilize their skill, expertise and love of hunting and fishing to feed hungry people served by non-profit organizations. Since February 2005, Hunters’ Harvest has provided 54,000 lbs. of wild game and fish to organizations in our community.

TDHA/Hunters' Harvest Hog Hunt Contest yields 10,000 lbs. of meat for the hungry

Hauling Hogs 
Hog Hunters from across the state participated in a competition sponsored by the Texas Dog Hunters' Association and Hunters' Harvest on March 1 and 2 in Halletsville.  Forty-two teams entered and 23 teams weighed-in hogs.  Congratulations to the C & M Team and Team Captain Mike Leopold from Halletsville who brought in three hogs that field dressed at 754.6 pounds!  The total donated by all participants was 10,000 lbs. which was distributed to ministries served by Hunters' Harvest and Pacto con Dios.  Thanks to Joe Lee, Director of Pacto con Dios in San Marcos, for your help in transporting and processing the meat.

Donations Accepted Year-Round
 
We want to remind you that there are ministries across Texas who are happy to accept your donations of fish and game year-round.  Many of these groups are feeding people 3 meals a day, so are in need of donations on a continual basis.  To find a ministry near you, go to www.huntersharvest.org and click "Where to Donate". 
 
Options for people living in the Houston area:
 
  • Drop off your donation at a ministry near you.  If there isn't a ministry that is near you, donations can be dropped off at Pete's Fine Meats (5509 Richmond).   
  • Take your field dressed donation to Pete's Fine Meats (5509 Richmond) or Midway Meat Market (5901 Highway Blvd., Katy).  Pete's and Midway will process your donation at no charge and contact Hunters' Harvest to pick it up.
  • If you have more than 50 lbs. to donate, contact Cathy (281.320.8259 or cathy@huntersharvest.org) to arrange a pick up.
